This opportunity supports a large public transportation authority located in Dallas, Texas that operates bus, light rail, commuter rail, and mobility programs across a multi-city service area. The agency maintains a high volume of public-facing communications and relies heavily on strong visual design to support rider engagement, public information campaigns, service updates, and community outreach initiatives. Graphic design work within this environment includes the development of advertising materials, transit signage, brochures, digital content, service announcements, and branded collateral that must be clear, accessible, and consistent across multiple platforms.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting these efforts by producing high-quality visual assets that communicate effectively with diverse audiences while maintaining strict adherence to established brand standards and public sector communication requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
The Mid-Level Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing and executing visual design concepts that support marketing, branding, and communications efforts. The role focuses on producing high-quality creative assets for print and digital use, including advertisements, brochures, publications, posters, and signage. The position requires the ability to work within established brand guidelines while contributing creative input and maintaining consistency across deliverables. Candidates must be capable of managing multiple assignments, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and produce visual assets for print and digital platforms including advertisements, brochures, posters, and marketing materials
- Prepare final production-ready files in accordance with project specifications and deadlines
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to translate concepts into effective visual designs
- Ensure all designs adhere to brand standards, formatting guidelines, and quality expectations
- Revise and update designs based on feedback from stakeholders and project managers
- Maintain organized project files and version control for all creative deliverables
- Support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2-year design certificate in graphic design or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a graphic design role
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience producing both print and digital design assets
- Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
SKILLS
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to interpret creative direction and apply feedback effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Experience working on Apple Mac systems preferred

- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Additional hours may be required based on project needs
COMPENSATION
- Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
