Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. Your expertise in security protocols and conflict management will be essential in ensuring the safety of our premises. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding security standards while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Monitor Main Entrance & Lobby
• Complete Hourly Patrols of Facility & Parking Areas on Foot
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as necessary.
• Operate Security Software and Apps to complete activity and incident reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
• Monitor property to prevent property damage.
• Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on security practices and emergency response protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement or military service.
• Strong knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques; certification preferred.
• Proficiency in operating surveillance systems, including CCTV technology.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and best practices in security management.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
