SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Events Staffing Manager will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions at A&A client sites for events and other staffing roles. In addition, the Manager will serve as a liaison between job seekers and hiring employers, assisting employer clients with efficiently filling openings with qualified candidates. The ideal Events & Staffing Supervisor also provides guidance and assistance to individuals seeking employment, matching job seekers with available opportunities based on education, expertise, and skills.
This position requires light travel, a flexible schedule & site visits.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for event staffing.
Conduct interviews and select appropriate candidates for various event roles.
Maintain a pool of potential staff to ensure availability for future events.
Assists employers with talent acquisition including drafting and publishing job announcements and openings.
Organize and conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
Develops and maintains a database of potential job applicants; interviews potential job applicants to gather information about educational background, interests, abilities, work experience, and job preferences.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff to enhance their skills and job satisfaction.
Create and manage staffing schedules for events, ensuring adequate coverage for all event functions.
Coordinate with event planners to understand staffing requirements and make necessary adjustments.
Communicate staffing schedules and assignments to staff in a timely manner.
Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, maintaining an ongoing understanding of employers staffing needs.
Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, hours worked, and other relevant data.
Manage payroll processes for event staff, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company policies.
Provide on-site support during events, assisting with staff management and troubleshooting as needed.
Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution and high-quality guest experiences.
Collect and analyze feedback from staff and event attendees to identify areas for improvement.
Visits sites and inspects performance and appearance of associates.
reports breaches to corporate management immediately.
Supports and participates in the acquisition of new clients and company business development initiatives.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including superior understanding of resume writing and interview techniques.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Bilingual is a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in related field highly preferred
At least one year of experience in similar staffing role preferred
Some experience in talent management preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
