GENERAL SUMMARY: To clean and maintain all of Charlotte County Transit vehicles, which includes buses, vans and administrative vehicles.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash exterior of vehicles including wheels and tires using power washer and brushes.
- Perform such cleaning duties as sweeping, mopping of floors, and vacuuming of seats and upholstery using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Dust and wash walls, windows, mirrors, and doors to remove splash marks, fingerprints and grease marks.
- Clean and shampoo upholstery when needed. Empty trash from vehicle.
- Properly maintain equipment.
- Keeps storage and work areas clean at all times.
- Request supplies when needed. Report damage, malfunctions and other irregularities of the vehicle to the Transit Operations Coordinator (Driver).
- Turn in lost and found articles to the Transit Operations Coordinator (Driver or Dispatcher)
Follow company policy and OSHA safety regulations.
RELATED DUTIES: Perform related duties as assigned including but not limited to the following:
- Changing shifts on a temporary basis to perform detailed cleaning of specific vehicles.
- Safely starting and driving of vehicles.
- Lifting up to 75lbs.
- Extensive bending, stretching and twisting to complete the job duties.
